Cũng giống như việc bạn sử dựng tank composite để nuôi và dưỡng cá koi. Tuy nhiên ở tank nhựa hình chữ nhật, bạn phải thiết kế hệ lắng và lọc riêng hệ 3 thùng. Tank nhựa hình chữ nhật không có chia ngăn sẵn lắng và lọc nên khó thể chơi theo kiểu của tank composite được.

Ưu điểm:

Tận dụng được diện tích trống tối đa trong nhà hoặc sân vườn để đặt tank

Nhược điểm:

Tank nhựa hình chữ nhật rất dễ phị phình nếu không được gia cố cẩn thận bằng gỗ hoặc khung sắt quanh viền.

Về mùa đông nếu nhiệt độ lạnh sẽ khó giữ được ấm cho cá.

Một vài lưu ý khi chọn và sử dụng tank nhựa:

  • Nên chọn tank từ cửa hàng hoặc công ty sản xuất có uy tín
  • Chọn độ dày và kích thước tank phù hợp với khoảng đất trống đặt tank nuôi dưỡng cá Koi.
  • Đặt tank ở nơi thoáng mát (dưới bóng cây càng tốt)
  • Nên kết hợp tank cùng với hệ thống lọc thùng bên ngoài hoặc dàn bakki giúp cá khỏe và mau lớn.
