3 bước tự thiết kế một hồ cá koi sân vườn. Bạn cần chuẩn bị: một bản phác thảo hồ cá koi theo mong muốn của bạn gồm (chiều rộng, dài, cao, độ dốc thành hồ ra sao, bơm đặt vị trí nào, đá và cây bố trí ra sao) tấm lót đáy hồ bằng nhựa PVC, đá trang trí hồ cá koi, hệ thống lọc nước tạo thác nước tự nhiên, dụng cụ đào đáy hồ, cây cảnh trang trí xung quanh hồ.
1. Tạo hình dáng hồ cá koi theo ý muốn:
Dọn cỏ sạch sẽ, xác định diện tích và độ sâu cần thiết cho hồ koi để mua lớp lót đáy hồ hợp lý. Mẹo: Bạn nên ước lượng diện tích tấm lót đáy bằng diện tích đáy hồ cộng với diện tích của thành bên theo hồ hình hộp chữ nhật khi chưa có bất kỳ độ cong dốc nào của thành hồ. Như vậy đảm bảo diện tích tấm lót mua đủ dùng.
Đào đất tạo dáng thành hồ cá koi theo bản phác thảo đã chuẩn bị sẵng, bạn có thể chừa sẵng không gian như hình bậc thang ở dọc thành hồ cá như ở hình bên dưới để bố trí đá và cây cảnh trang trí nhằm che phủ đi lớp lót phía đáy hồ và tạo cảnh tự nhiên cho hồ cá koi.
Phủ cát cho lòng hồ thác nước: Phủ cát nhằm lấp đầy những vùng không gian trống dưới tấm lót tạo sự vững chắc cho đáy hồ.
Độ sâu và đường kính của lòng hồ nên phù hợp với kích thước tương ứng của lớp lót. Nếu bạn trot đào lòng hồ quá to thì bạn có thể điều chỉnh bằng cách phủ thêm một lớp cát. Sử dụng cát tạo cho bạn một nền móng dễ điểu chỉnh chiều cao của lớp lót. Phủ lớp cát khoảng 2.5cm ở dưới đáy hồ thì miệng lớp lót cao hơn 2.5 cm so với mặt đất. Việc nâng nhẹ độ cao này sẽ giảm thiểu việc đất sẽ tràn vào hồ nước.
2. Đặt lớp lót đúc sẵn vào hố tạo hồ nước:
Khi đặt lớp lót, chúng ta nên đặt một thước đo chỉ mức trên bề mặt của nó từ đằng trước đến đằng sau, từ trái qua phải để xác định xem nó bằng phẳng hay chưa. Nếu nó chưa bằng phẳng như bạn muốn thì hãy bỏ lớp lót ra và san cát ở dưới đáy hồ bằng phẳng hơn để đặt lớp lót vững chắc cho đến khi bạn cảm thấy hài lòng.
Việc phủ một ít đất cát cho lòng hồ nhằm giúp che đi lớp nhựa lót đáy hồ đồng thời mô phỏng một dòng suối như trong tự nhiên. Cát còn có công dụng tạo sự trong trẻo của nước sau này, bạn có thể trồng một số cây thủy sinh chịu được dòng chảy nhẹ để ho ca koi thêm sinh động đồng thời tạo môi trường sống tự nhiên cho cá, cây thủy sinh sẽ giúp khử độc tố nitrate trong hồ giúp cá koi khỏe, tạo chỗ cho cá koi tránh nắng.
Công việc tưởng chừng như đơn giản nhưng bạn hãy tưởng tượng như cách bạn đào móng và xây móng cho nhà. Móng chắc thì nhà mới vững, cũng như việc lòng hồ nước đúng kỹ thuật thì việc thi công thác nước mới đảm bảo sử dụng được trong một thời gian dài. Sau khi đặt lớp lót ưng ý nghĩa là bạn đã kết thúc công đoạn đào lòng hồ thác nước sân vườn, bây giờ chúng ta bước đến phần trang trí xung quanh hồ cá koi bằng cây và đá ngay nào.
3. Trang trí hồ cá koi với cây cảnh, cây thủy sinh và đá trang trí:
Sau khi hoàn tất công việc set up hồ, tới khâu sáng tạo của bạn đây. Đầu tiên chúng ta nên sắp xếp những viên đá to tạo layout trước. Sau đó đặt những viên đá nhỏ xung quanh những viên đá lớn để tạo độ dốc hướng xuống hồ koi, bước này tùy ý bạn sáng tạo nhé, bạn có thể bố trí một số tảng đá lớn chìa ra và trồng một số cây cảnh có thể sống trên hòn non bộ tạo bóng mát cho cá koi. Nếu thích bạn cũng có thể trồng một số loại rau bên hồ cá koi tạo nguồn rau sạch tự cung cấp Nụ cười (nói đùa thôi nhưng nếu muốn thì vẫn làm được, chỉ cần một ít thẩm mỹ và sáng tạo cỏ dại cũng có thể trở thành thiên đường.)
Sau khi hoàn tất mọi công việc, bây giờ bơm nước vào và bật cho máy lọc nước chạy khoảng 3 ngày đến một tuần để chuẩn bị nguồn nước tốt nhất nuôi cá.
